We Are Committed To Mitigating Climate Change.

The mitigation of climate change constitutes not only a fulfilment of our environmental obligations but also plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and resilience of our operational processes. Accordingly, we are committed to implementing various actions aimed at the reduction of emissions, including the establishment of specific emission reduction targets. In light of the increasing global concerns regarding climate change and the depletion of natural resources, the necessity for the electricity sector to transition toward sustainable practices has become more pronounced. As Aksa Elektrik, we undertake responsibilities in this regard and have initiated carbon footprint assessments within the scope of our climate-related commitments.

Furthermore, the following training programmes are provided within our organisation:
ISO 14064-1:2019

Organisational-Level Greenhouse Gas Emissions Calculation and Reporting

Factory
ISO 14046 Water Footprint
Co2
Sustainability Awareness Training
Recycle
Environmental Awareness and Zero Waste Training
Trash
We Act Responsibly For A Sustainable Future

Recognising our obligation to carry out our operations in accordance with environmental, social, and corporate governance standards, this project is being executed with the objective of conserving natural resources, promoting biodiversity, and reducing carbon emissions, while also aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

We Act Responsibly For A Sustainable Future

This initiative, undertaken as part of our declared commitment to attain carbon neutrality by the year 2050, constitutes a significant measure in fulfilling our environmental responsibilities. In this context, we are formulating and implementing projects aligned with sector-specific carbon neutrality objectives. In order to advance the sustainable development agenda, facilitate the global transition to clean energy, prioritise the mitigation of the climate crisis, and realise our carbon neutrality targets, we are allocating investments toward solutions such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, advanced energy technologies, and smart grid systems.

Our guiding principles in this context are outlined as follows:
“To monitor greenhouse gas emissions arising from our products, services, and investments through a life cycle assessment approach, to calculate the corresponding carbon footprint, and to implement emission reduction measures in line with our objective of achieving ‘Carbon Neutrality’,
To systematically assess and respond to the risks and opportunities associated with climate change, and to undertake the necessary activities and partnerships accordingly,
To enhance our environmental and social performance by incorporating life cycle efficiency considerations into the design, production, and utilisation phases of all our services, while adhering to our climate change commitments,
To utilise the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) framework as the standard for reporting our impacts in the fields of human rights, social well-being, governance, and climate change,
To contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), climate action (SDG 13), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), and responsible consumption and production (SDG 12),
To support the climate objectives set forth in the Paris Agreement.”
