1970 Turkish Electricity Authority “TEK” was established with Law No. 1312. Production, transmission, distribution and sales services were gathered under the roof of TEK.
1993 With the decision numbered 93/4789 of the Council of Ministers, TEK was restructured as two separate State Economic Enterprises under the names of Turkey Electricity Generation, Transmission Inc. (TEAŞ) and Turkey Electricity Distribution Inc. (TEDAŞ).
2002 AKSA Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş. was established.
2006 21 distribution companies, including Fırat and Çoruh, were separated from TEDAŞ.
2010 Fırat and Çoruh Electricity Distribution and Retail Companies were purchased and privatized under the roof of Aksa Electricity Retail Inc. Company, a subsidiary of Kazancı Holding.
On September 30, Çoruh Electricity Distribution and Retail Company was established.
Fırat Electricity Distribution and Retail Company was established on December 31.
2013 The separation of retail and distribution companies has been completed.
