Ali Metin Kazancı, one of the first names that comes to mind when entrepreneurship in Türkiye is mentioned, began his business career in the early 1950s. Our Founder and Honorary Chairman laid the foundations of our group companies in 1968 by establishing Watt Electric Motor Factory and, through his successful initiatives, led our growth across all areas of the energy sector. In 1994, he brought our companies together under a holding structure.

Throughout his life, Ali Metin Kazancı was a pioneering and inspiring leader who left a lasting mark on the business world through his stance and principles.
By establishing one of Türkiye’s largest energy holdings, he demonstrated his vision; by expanding into different regions of the world, he showed his courage; and through his investments in various sectors—especially agriculture—for the benefit of society, he passed on his values to all of us. He achieved success in every field he entered and made significant contributions to his country and to humanity.
